How to play European Roulette

The Roulette game was invented in Europe in the 17th century, over 300 years ago, which makes it the oldest casino game still being played. For centuries the patrons of casinos the world over have been fascinated by this game. The Roulette wheel is divided into 37 segments on the French wheel (or European Wheel) and 38 on the American wheel (our casino has the European Roulette, which has one zero).

These are numbered 1-36 with a single zero on the French Roulette and a double zero on the American Roulette. A ball is flicked in a clockwise direction around the outer rim of the Roulette wheel, which is spinning in a counterclockwise direction. The object of the game is to bet on the number on which the ball will eventually land.

Playing the Game of European Roulette

Playing the BeTheWinner Roulette game is very simple. The table is identical to those found in casinos around the world. Our Roulette table is marked with the numbers 0 and 1-36 (we do not have a 00). The numbers are alternately colored red and black with 0 colored green. The player begins by clicking and placing chips on the desired areas on the table. In the Roulette game the player places a bet on a number, color, odds or a group of numbers on the Roulette table. Every betting option (either an Inside Bet or an Outside Bet) is highlighted when the mouse cursor is on it.

Once the Contiue button has been pressed the wheel is spun and when the ball falls on a number - winnings are automatically added to your bankroll. The amount of the payoff depends on how the bet was placed.

BeTheWinner Casino features private as well as public roulette tables. On a public table there are up to four players simultaneously - one player plays as the Croupier and up to three players plays as the Player. On a private table you play alone against a System Croupier.

Inside Bets
Straight Up
You can bet on any number on the table (1-36, 0) by placing a chip on it. If the ball lands on the 0, all bets are lost with the exception of those straight bets placed on the 0. Winning bets are paid at 35 to 1.

Split (2 Number Bet)

Betting on any four adjacent numbers is possible by placing the chip on the corner, where all four numbers meet. A winning bet is paid out at 8 to 1.

Some players like to bet on the neighbors, that is, a group of numbers clustered together on the wheel, for example 20, 14, 31, 9 and 22.

Column Bet
This bet is placed at the end of any of the three columns of numbers. If the ball lands on any number within that column, you win. Winning bets are paid out at 2 to 1.

Disconnections

Communication problems over the Internet may cause sudden disconnections. We have designed our software to cope with such incidents in a manner that our clients will be protected from unjustifiable loss, while eliminating the possibility of intentional disconnections and/or system abuse.

Should a disconnection or timeout occur after the Player placed his/her bets and before the Player pressed the 'Spin' button, the Player's bets will be returned to his/her Balance.
Should a disconnection or timeout occur after the Player placed his/her bets and pressed 'Spin' and before the ball landed on a number, the round will continue.
After connection is re-established the Player can enter the "History" page and see the results of the last round ("History" is available for Real Money mode only).

Playing as CroupierClick to enlarge

BeTheWinner Casino offers you the unique option of playing the role of the Croupier. This option increases your chances of winning, since you gain some of the favorable odds reserved for the casino. At the end of every round the casino takes a commission of 1.5% of the total bets bet against the Croupier.

Example

You choose to play in Table II. This means that you meet the minimum requirements for playing in this table type: a minimum of 850 Dealer Points and a minimum balance of $360. The system then matches a Player to you and after you 'Approve' the next round, the Player places his/her bets on the table.

Let's say the Player places $1 on "14", $5 on "23", $5 on the corner of "16,17,19,20" and $5 on "Red" for a total bet of $16. The Player spins the roulette and the number "7" comes out. The Player loses $11 on his inside number bets and wins $5 on his outside bet, since "7" is Red.
All in all, the Player loses 11-5 = $6. Since the total bet against Croupier was $16, the casino takes a commission of 1.5%*16 = $0.24, which means you win 6-0.24 = $5.76 on this round. The casino's edge over the player in Roulette is 2.7% so as the Croupier you actually gain an edge of 1.2%.

Minimum Dealer Points and Balance

You can play as Croupier once you have accumulated enough Dealer Points and in addition you need to have enough money in your Balance, according to the game's limits described in the Game Options page. The Minimum Balance required is a bit higher than the total winnings of the Player in a given round.

"Approve" Button / 'Auto-Approve' Feature

When playing as Croupier, before each round commences you must Approve the next round. After you approve the round, the Player can place his/her bets and play the round. The Auto-Approve feature lets you automatically approve the next rounds, without having to approve every round individually.

Disconnections

Communication problems over the Internet may cause sudden disconnections. We have designed our software to cope with such incidents in a manner that our clients will be protected from unjustifiable loss, while eliminating the possibility of intentional disconnections and/or system abuse.
Should a disconnection occur after the Croupier pressed the 'Approve' button, play will continue until the Player has finished his turn. This has no effect on the Croupier, since the Croupier is played automatically according to the rules of the game.
After connection is re-established the Croupier can enter the History page and see the results of the last round (History is available for Real Money mode only).
